DJ approval on every request
Paid requests are authorized when the guest submits and captured only after you accept. Declining releases the hold, so guests are not charged for songs you do not play.
Fees stay predictable
A 15% DJ Request app fee applies to the accepted base request amount. Tips and boosts have no app fee. Stripe processing fees and payout timing are separate.
Photo Wall and AI on paid plans
Pro Pass and Max Pass include AI song suggestions and the moderated Photo Wall. Standard does not, so pick a paid plan if guest photos or suggestions matter for the event.
Pricing FAQ
- Is DJ Request free to use?
- The Standard plan has no subscription charge. It includes unlimited song requests, QR code and direct-link sharing, and the event analytics dashboard. After the trial, Standard guest requests must be paid requests; AI song suggestions and the Photo Wall are not included.
- What is the difference between a free plan and free guest requests?
- A free plan means the DJ pays no subscription. Free guest requests means guests can submit songs without paying. After the trial, on Standard the DJ pays nothing but guest requests must be paid. On Pro Pass ($10 per event) and Max Pass ($20 per month) the DJ can make guest requests optional, so guests can request for free or pay.
- What does DJ Request charge on paid song requests?
- DJ Request applies a 15% app fee to the accepted base request amount only. Tips and priority boosts carry no DJ Request app fee. Stripe processing fees apply separately, and payouts follow the connected Stripe account's schedule.
- When should I choose Pro Pass instead of Max Pass?
- Pro Pass is $10 for one event and includes AI song suggestions, one moderated Photo Wall event, and one shared event album. Max Pass is $20 per month and removes the Photo Wall and album limits for DJs who run events on a recurring schedule.
- How long does a Pro Pass last?
- A Pro Pass activates a 24-hour window for one event. Photo Wall, AI suggestions, and optional free requests are available for that window, and only one pass can be active at a time. Max Pass keeps those features on for as long as the monthly subscription is active.
- Is there a free trial of the paid features?
- Yes. New DJ accounts start with a 30-day trial of the Photo Wall (up to 10 guest photos per day) and AI song suggestions. No card is required. During the 30-day trial for new accounts, every guest request is free. After the trial, Standard needs Stripe payouts to be ready before requests can be switched on. Pro Pass and Max Pass can use a $0 request price; paid requests always need Stripe payouts to be ready.
- Do guests need to download an app to submit requests?
- No. Guests scan the event QR code or open the direct link and submit requests in their phone browser on iPhone or Android.
